Mission Summary
Following the departure of the Blue Sun Hauler, life settles back down to normal aboard the Skyplex. The Administrator receives an encrypted transmission from an inbound ship. Minister of Parliament Buford T. Carnahan III is arriving to conduct an inspection of the station for the Department of Commerce. Minister Carnahan is the son and namesake of war hero General Buford T Carnahan. The General is respected throughout the Alliance as the man that brought the Unification War to an end and brought unity to the Verse. Veterans on the Independent side remember the General by other names, the butcher of Verbena and Serenity Valley, his scorched planet policies certainly brought an end to the war, by slaughtering over 3 billion people in a relentless campaign leaving no quarter for combatants, or civilians of Independent worlds. Four year following the war the General was assassinated. Buford III nearly lost his entire family in the incident. Sympathies from Alliance Elites allowed Minister Carnahan to ascend to the highest levels of political power, sitting on the ministries of the Judiciary, Energy and Commerce. In recent years Minister Carnahan traveled throughout the Rim worlds aboard his luxury, highly armed yacht on official state business.
It is the directive for Skyplex security to safeguard the Minister and assist in his inquiries.
