Date Night

Posted on Tue Dec 17th, 2019 @ 2:44am by Plexie Natalya Petrovich & Plexie Zane Ryan

Mission: Opening Shop
Location: Deck 3
Timeline: Evening of the day the Dockmaster gets pickpocket-ted

There wasn’t much on the young woman’s mind as she wandered through the rest of the residential deck. She’d left her family’s home, their not so simple quarters that made people suspect that the Petroviches had their hands dipping into a bit more than just doughnut batter. Natalay could really care less. But it did give her a little more clout amongst the other Plexies, and on the station.

Blue eyes scanned the corridor as she tugged the hood of her green plexie hoodie up over her head, hiding her red streaked black hair. In each pocket was a can of paint. She’d waved a few of the others to meet her to drop some inspiring artwork down where she’d so recently learned that there weren’t any active cameras. Truthfully, the dockmaster - the Jian Pantu should have known better. Luckily, Natalya wasn’t as dumb as she pretended to be and made sure that what they’d so unconsciously let slip in front her was true. Which meant… fun times on the ‘Plex for the Plexies.

Fun times for her and Zane. Who had been the only one to agree to meet her this evening.

Giving the green hood a quick, gentle tug Natalya ducked sidways and into the hidden alcove that only she and Zane knew about.

"Shiny meeting your here." she heard from a voice in the shadows. walking up a few steps closer, the green hoodie and sparkly blue eyes were obviously Zane. He flashed her a wiley smile. "So, you said you had something fun in mind. I am all ears darlin;" he said with as much inuendo a teenager could manage.

“Ai ya!” Natalya jumped, clearly startled. Even though she’d been expecting Zane, she hadn’t necessarily been expecting him so soon. A bright, wide smile etched across her face, “Gorram-it, Zane.” Her voice dropping back down to not quite a whisper. Natalya gifted him a playful eye roll before pulling the aerosol can of paint from her pocket. “I was thinking’ something shiny and inspiring.”

Zane gave her a broad smile and laughed a little. Something about her face than just made everything feel good in life. Eyeing the can she produced he raised his eyebrows, "Ooh! Arts and Crafts night? I'm game. What we sketching up tonight?"

Her smile was one of pure mischief even as it twinkled in her blue eyes. Natalya reached out with her free hand, grabbing the pocket of his green hoodie and gently tugged, "See, you're always up for the fun things." Sure she might be flirting. It was, after all, one of the things the two of them did besides running wild, as her family would say. "Not sure, yet, just wanna have a bit o'fun, Zane."

Zane smiled as he followed her lead, running up closely behind her feeling her shoulders against his chest. "I've gotta few ideas. Hey did you hear about the heist this morning? Valeria, you know the girl that just got her hoodie, she swiped the Jian Pantu* Administrator's wallet right under the Marshal's nose. Of course Miss Flamehead came sniffing round the 'cade. Pegged Val in like a second. Thing is, I got her Wallet now. Wanna see?"

“Did I hear?” The teenager snorted, “Where do you think it happened? If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought the girl was trying to impress me or something.” It had been rather on the shiny side, she had to give Valeria a bit of street cred for that. “Scarlet was like gorram furious, dude.” Natayla spun around, blue eyes flashing with vivacious curiosity, “Do I wanna….you know I do. You show me yours and I’ll show you mine.” She was of course referring to the pack of smokes she had swiped from the Marshall’s jacket.

"You promise?" he said with a wink, not referring to her smokes. He pulled the wallet out of his pocket and dangled in in front of Natalya. "One genuine Dockmaster wallet, for you my lady." he said with a mock bow followed by a playful shove of Natalya's shoulder.

The wink earned him yet another playful roll of her eyes as well as returning his shove with one of her own before she snatched the wallet from his hand. And found its contents, or lack there of, rather on the disappointing side. Much like the Marshall’s jacket had been. “Go Shi.” Natalya muttered and offered the wallet back to Zane. It was rather interesting that he had it, but yet… “How’d you end up with it?”

Zane shook his head. "I don't know, seems like once you get older, you get boring. I expected something interesting or useful in it, but nada. Probably whoever Val snatched it for took the good stuff. She was freaking out over Scarlett getting in her face, she gave it to me to get rid of. Thought you might like it."

Natalya shrugged, giving the wallet a quick toss into the darkness. Let someone else stumble upon it and get their hopes crushed. “Gah,” She grumbled, her nose wrinkling, “let’s hope not. Boring is boring. Hmmm.” Natalya paused and pulled the pack of smokes she’d swiped from the Marshall’s jacket free and dangled them in front of Zane. “We got smokes and paint. Up for a jolly good time?”

Zane smiled as he reached out for a cigarette. "Let's make this town shiny Darlin'." He took one of her paint cans and gave it a good shake popping the cap off with one hand. He walked over to one of the shadowed corners and began to tag the wall, leaving behind a large blue star in a green triangle. He stepped back formt eh wall admiring his work and gestured to Natalya. "Whatcha think?"

Like the little deviant she was, Natalya broke into a wide grin. She might not have been impressed the the Dockmasters wallet, but the prospect of just what his words entitled totally did. There was just something about a bad boy, especially one that would do just about anything to impress a girl. While Zane worked away on his creation, Natalya did hers. Though as she stepped back to inspect just what he’d done, she couldn’t contain her excitement. That symbol of the Independents was just what the ‘Plex needed. And it actually worked well with her red, bubble letter Shiny!. Just the single world. In bright red. “It’s like, perfect, Zane. I wanna do moreeee.”

Shaking the can, Zane gave Natalya a devious grin. "Oh yeah. Let see how much we can hit before the cans run out... unless you got more. Do you have more?" he said his voice growing in excitement. The rush of breaking the rules was intoxicating. And having such a gorgeous partner in crime made it even better. Everytime he walked through these corridors he would look at their art, something that was part of both of them. "Over here! Hit that wall! I got this one."

He proceeded to paint out a rather odd looking rendition of a fruity oaty girl. Not high art, but his art. He took a long drag on the cigarette as he planned his next piece.

Standing back, admiring her most recent work of art, Natalya realized that this had been the best idea. Not only had it gotten her time alone with Zane, but she'd been able to let out a bit of steam...relax, basically, as they'd decorated the walls of Decks 2 and 3. Everyone who had any sense about them would know the plexies had been hard at work, well, everyone with a head on their shoulders.

She tossed the now empty can away, the metal clanking to the floor as it rolled away from where she stood. It was pure magic. Deviance was one of the few joys in the teenager's life. Natayla shoved her hands into the pocket of her hoodie and turned towards her partner in crime. They'd graffiti-ed till there was no more paint, their works of art ranging from pro-Independence propaganda to bubbly letters, to fancily mapped out foul language. "I'm out." She declared, blue eyes landing on his back as he finished his current project.

Zane finished his last bit of filler as his can too ran out of pressure. It was a somewhat abstract image of a wolf eating a ice cream cone, or maybe it was the skyplex, hard to say. Still he looked pleased with himself. They had had a prolific night of tagging across three decks. He looked to his partner in crime with a twinkle in his eye. "Excellent job Nat. That was fun. So what do you want to do now? Land of storage?" he asked hoping.

"Sounds shiny."
